In order to further improve the professional quality and teaching ability of new teachers, consolidate the basic skills of teachers to control their classroom teaching, promote the mutual exchange and reference between teachers, in the second class on the afternoon of October 31st, teacher Zhang Lianping of the physics group taught an open class entitled ‘Free Falling Motion’ in Class 1, Grade 10, which was attended by Principal Hu Qilin, Assistant Principal Xu Zuitai, Director Xu Haihong of the Senior High School Division and all physics teachers.
Specifically, in the class, Zhang Lianping guided students to understand the basic concepts and characteristics of free falling motion through ingenious experiments; Also, by means of objects of the same shape and different masses for falling experiments, she gave students an intuitive sense of the effect of resistance on the movement of falling bodies. Additionally, Zhang Lianping made reasonable inferences about the observed phenomena, so as to draw correct conclusions and cultivate students' physics literacy. More noticeably, in the whole teaching process, Zhang Lianping possessed solid professional knowledge of physics, clear classroom thinking and continuous creativity, who always adheres to the principle of taking students as the main body and teachers as the guidance, guiding students to learn new knowledge through knowledge transfer, and presenting a unique physics class.
To conclude, this demonstration lesson not only gave students a better understanding of the motion of free fall, but also stimulated their interest and enthusiasm for physics. Meanwhile, this teaching method provides teachers with the opportunity to communicate and learn, thus enhancing the improvement and progress of teachers' teaching levels. Therefore, it’s believed that in such a teaching atmosphere, students will certainly be able to go further and more steadily on the road of physics.
